Its time for an update concerning new developments at JA’s.  As many of you may have heard our Executive Chef, Nicole Roarke, has taken on a new job with the FiOS 1 News show “Restaurant Hunter” with Rob Petrone.  Nicole, as well as JA’s itself has appeared on a number of Restaurant Hunter episodes over the last few years.  FiOS 1 News must have realized what had become apparent to us in that in addition to being a great chef Nicole is also a natural in front of the camera talking ...

Another brother, Bart, lives up in Coxsackie, NY and owns a farm where he has been raising grass-fed cattle for a couple of years now.  Bart has eleven children (Heneghan's are always looking for cheap labor) which ...

Hello All.  JA Heneghan's, like the rest of humanity on the east coast, is impatient for Spring to have sprung.  Keep an eye out for our new outdoor furniture that should be appearing soon.  Also we are having our annual Mug Club Party this Tuesday, April 13th.  We hear from Mug Club Members that they are not being directly informed of our events and we do try our best to get the word out via Social Media.  Of course, we maintain a Mug Club email list which is the most effective way of ...

Welcome to J.A. Heneghan’s Tavern

Located on the quaint main street of Point Lookout, NY, where walking and bicycles are the favored mode of transportation, J.A. Heneghan’s Tavern is a throwback to another time when good conversation and good food went hand-in-hand. We are a return of the classic American tavern offering refined, contemporary American cuisine, warm hospitality and great service. Separated by an informal pub in the front, the main dining room in the rear is a great place to enjoy a meal in a most ...
